We see steadily increased volumes of data that need to be analyzed, while the models and algorithms have become more complex. A poorly written R code can cause the execution time to become prohibitively long. In this talk, we will uncover common problems that cause poor performance, the tools that can be used to benchmark and profile the R code, and techniques that can further decrease the execution time.
