The aim of the Data Infrastructure Building Blocks (DIBBS) program at NSF is to foster the creation of data-centric infrastructures for science, engineering and education, while simultaneously building sustainable components of a future national cyberinfrastructure. From the beginning of the NESE project, we have been determined to achieve these goals by leveraging our position as institutions already sharing physical space in a common data center of MGHPCC. The NESE strategy is strongly focused on sustainability and growth of a shared large capacity Ceph and Tape storage facility.
